Please read our responsible service of alcohol policy before using this website.
Selling alcohol brings with it a great responsibility to you and to the community at large. As a committed, responsible community member we actively pursue harm minimisation strategies and continually develop new initiatives in alcohol safety. We acknowledge that safe alcohol consumption is ultimately the responsibility of you as an individual. However, it is also our responsibility to abide by the strict policies and procedures that govern all Australian liquor retailers.
Proof of age verification
As a part of our commitment to the responsible service of alcohol, we enforce the checking of proof of age identification. We take the responsible service of alcohol very seriously and make sure that we only sell alcohol to people of the proper legal age (18+).
Don’t buy it for them
Supplying alcohol to a minor can incur a fine of up to $27,500 and/or 12 months imprisonment. The ‘Don’t buy it for them’ campaign aims to make adults aware of their responsibilities regarding secondary supply. We will refuse service if we believe that an adult is purchasing alcohol for a minor or a person who is intoxicated.
Liquor Licensing Acts
Liquor licencing legislation in Australia is state and territory-based:
Western Australia: Liquor Control Act 1988: It is an offence to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on licensed or regulated premises; or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, or attempt to purchase, liquor on licensed or regulated premises.
For more specific legislation in your state or territory, visit your local government’s liquor act web page.
