New Direct Flight Service Connecting Busselton-Melbourne Now Opened

The Berry Farm Cellar Door & Cottage Café in the Rosa Glen Valley of the Margaret River Region, Western Australia, is more than just a Country Cottage Cafe. It is a hotspot for seasonal gourmet dining and wine tasting experiences, breathtaking scenery, and quirky wildlife encounters. Visitors can enjoy delicious morning/afternoon teas and country-style lunches as well as unwind and indulge in finely crafted fortified wines, all in a single visit to the Berry Farm.

The Berry Farm is a premier Western Australian destination, but for most east coast Australians, it has always seemed a little bit too far to get to. But now, via a direct flight route connecting Melbourne and Busselton (the gateway city to the Margaret River region), Melburnians and Sydneysiders can have easier access to our cottage café and cellar door. We are now only four hours away from you!

About The Busselton-Melbourne Flight Route

The McGowan Ministry, Jetstar, and the City of Busselton have recently announced the first-ever trans-continental flights to the idyllic West Australian region of Margaret River with the launch of a new and direct air route between Melbourne and Busselton starting March 25, 2020.

Operated by an A320 aircraft, the Jetstar flights are set to take off three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays), flying nonstop between Melbourne Airport (MEL) at Tullamarine and Busselton Margaret River Airport (BQB) located in the Busselton suburb of Yalyalup. The flights have been scheduled as a morning departure from Melbourne at 8.00 am AEST, arriving at the newly upgraded Busselton Margaret River Airport at 9:05 am WST, before returning to Melbourne at 9.40 am WST.

The Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar said that this new direct flight service would put Margaret River region within “easy reach for a short break away.”Currently, those outside Western Australia have to allocate a day of travel to get to Margaret River, with a five-hour flight to Perth, followed by an additional three-hour drive to Busselton. Starting March 25, 2020, this 8-hour trek will be a thing of the past as the Busselton-Melbourne flight route will take interstate tourists directly to Busselton in a little over four hours! What’s more? Starting from only $109, the tickets are very competitively priced, as well, making the notoriously costly commute from the east to the west coast more affordable.
