The Cottage Café has an ethereal ambiance that is second to none.

The Cottage Café was voted the Regional Countrywide Café of the Year 2019 in Western Australia by its loyal and long-time customers for a reason. A favourite among both locals and visitors to the beautiful South West Margaret River region, the Cottage Café seems to have scored the most points among its customers because of its truly special ambiance. Led by head chef Michael Neat, the Cottage Café at Berry Farm is all about the experience of exceptional dining in the midst of a country cottage garden brimming with the local little birds and other wildlife. The wide verandas and timber floors just make the space more inviting, adding to a unique, rustic dining experience.

Home grown mouth-watering food.

The spectacular ambiance is reason enough to give the Cottage Café all the 'Best Cafe' awards, but there is a lot more to it than just that. Along with a tranquil, picturesque garden setting in the beautiful Rosa Glen Valley that draws visitors and locals alike, The Cottage Café also boasts a delicious menu that caters for a wide range of tastes and appetites. Their country cottage menu takes a naturalist approach, allowing the locally sourced food to go together with their own flavours, resulting in hearty meals that are hard not to obsess over. According to the customer feedback, some of the Cottage Café’s most popular dishes, such as their much prized 30-year-old recipe for Beef and Red Wine Pie, Ploughman's Platter, Boysenberry Pie, and Scones played a huge role in their impressive win.

A stellar cellar with all the treats.

The Berry Farm also has one of the most impressive wine collections in Western Australia that has ciders, sparkling wines, dessert wines, fortified wines, and liqueurs, all of which include fruit and berry varieties. On top of that, their cellar door is absolutely brimming with delectable products inclusive of berry and fruit jams, jellies, preserves, savoury sauces, syrups, dressings, and naturally fermented vinegar all made in their busy commercial kitchen using local seasonal ingredients. A tasting menu experience includes over forty of their gourmet products paired with their unique wines to create the perfect wine experience.

The Cottage Café seems to have captured the bellies and Instagram feeds of Western Australia’s diners with its beautiful blend of good food, unique wines and nature. Regardless of whether you are visiting, or are fortunate enough to live in the picturesque Margaret River region, dining out at The Cottage Café is a real treat because this ‘Countrywide Regional Café of the Year 2019’ will leave you feeling as though you want to come back over and over again.
